The petition of Douglass Robinson a citizen of Carroll Co Miss

He respectfully represents that he learned his plantation in Carroll Co. known as the "Marion Plantation" to Benton & Towns for the year 1867. That he sent out an attachment to airtrain for the march. That he immediately under Circular to Sheriff from the Head Quarters of said 4th mil. notified in writing through the Sheriff of said county. The Sub. assistant Commr of Banearo R.F & A.L. at Grenada Miss is of his action & invited the Commr to supervise the accts between Benton & Towns & the laborers who had made the crops on the said plantation & offered to pay any sum that was due. He states that no regard was paid to this notice but afterwords the laborers procured arbitra[[tor]]
