Lieut. J.F. Moser, U.S.N., in command of the Coast Survey steamer Bache, which has been sounding in the shallow waters of the Florida coast, in the neighborhood of Cedar Keys, and between Cape Romano and Cape Sable, has found time, during the last spring, to do considerable dredging with very successful results. His outfit was furnished by the Museum and Fish Commission, both of which are benefitted by his work. A portion of his collection, received before the close of the year, is acknowledged above.
