Stoughton Feb 8th 1933 Dear Doris Didn't it pour last night & wind blew a gale. but the middle of the afternoon the sun shone out & since then it has been like summer with the wind to the South & the therm [[thermometer]] at 60 degrees outside. I am reading a library book that has to be in by Saturday, so am letting my work go. but I have plenty of time. if Talbot doesn't come to day I am afraid he has forsaken us entirely. but I feel theres [[there's]] not much pleasure for him to come to this depressed atmosphere. Pa is staying upstairs to day. its warm there & a change for the better. he reads the old town reports. the new one interested him for days & he looks forward to the paper every night.
