I got Pa to eat a small dish of berries & it was effectual, so to night for supper, I am going to try again, he may be contrary but when I warm them up & sweeten them they appeal to him more. he is very fond of sweet things. Lena has sent him lots of stuffed dates & he is rather sick of them.

I hope the little one is well over her cold and it seems too bad to drive away the children, but I suppose she is more care when theres children & then they would come when she is having her nap Auntie knows best I guess. Pa has eaten a dish of berries with his supper & seemed to relish them so I guess he will be all right without any syrup of figs to night. We have just eaten supper & he is now looking forward to getting his paper. I will finish my letter & carry it down before dark to the letter box Ma.
