Major:
I have the honor to inform you, that I have rented for an office, the dead-room in the Court House, mentioned in a previous communication. The county authorities have not fixed the rent, but it is not to exceed twenty dollars a month.

Please inform me if I am authorized to purchase furniture and stationery for my office, and if so, to what articles I am confined.

Also, please inform me if I am to keep a record of my official correspondence, and if I am to buy a book for that purpose.
