Dear Doris

Our rain ended in a wind which brought us a freeze so I see the flowers went in a hurry before morning. it has kept off pretty long it grew warmer as the day advanced. Pa stays down more since the cold weather came & bothers us about turning off the heat there is no comfort in the house where he is. he still eats all the time & hugs the stove. I have managed to get his clothes changed & she has washed them out & got them dry. he even took off his pants & I washed the dirty places on them & kept them on the line to air most all day but it fretted him untill she brought them in at last but we felt they needed a good airing after wearing them night & day for so long. she goes home with her son who works at Belchers last factory every Thursday after four O'clock. & comes home in the early evening in his car. The pictures came yesterday & were pretty good of the children one in particular. I will send them back in this letter.

There was a little man he looked some like Dr Erving who was in the hospital as I went in this forenoon. I told him the Doctor.
