Dear Doris

After dinner I had a little nap as I did not sleep as soon as I went to bed last night my nerves were the cause I have such nights as you very well know. but am sure to make it up next night. The Bruces came & payed their rent. yesterday she denied that they had foreclosed their property entirely, it was his mother. she is a very young looking woman.
It rained the first past of the night a slight shower & cleared off during the night so it has been sunny with a clear & cooler atmosphere. our frost did not come near the house so none of my things in the garden have been touched. we watered the little new trees & the rain came afterwards & they have been wet down since.
My leg does not bother me days as it used to by aching. only when I lie down & then the circulation stop[[strikethrough]]p[[/strikethrough]]s but nights after I once get to sleep it does not keep me awake. the hot pad does its part & it seems so
