Dear Doris

The wind changed during the night it rained so there were puddles on the bare places. 45 prostrations from heat in Chicago the paper said. hot all over the country. I was down again to the hospital for treatment this noon again & they went over me in great shape. it limbered me up a bit. Oh if the ache would only cease nights. Pa is balky when I need him most & refuses to budge its terrible aggrevating [[aggravating]]. he sleeps a lot both day & night & stays up stairs most of the time for which I am thankful for as he is finding fault with every thing he sees. Dr Brides says dont use Iodex or any other treatment except that which he orders. & I can eat my health bread, it does no harm. but cut out meat of all sorts. eat fish instead. that butter fish did taste so good I eat the most of two & could eaten the third it went to the right spot. I enjoy my ride down & back to the Hospital. a man nurse drives me & helps me in to the house he hangs right on to me so I dont fall I eat an egg mashed potato & celery soup for dinner & got soup enough left for supper. have just made junkets for supper also. Pa grabbed his & eat it while I was using the tellephone [[telephone]] he is greedy for junkets. now he is looking for his paper to come.
