II. Major J.S. Free Asst. Inspector Gen'l. Bureau R.F.& A.L. will without delay proceed to Natchez, Miss., thence to Washington, Fayette, Union Church, Brookhaven, Jackson and Grenada. Making at each of the above points a thorough inspection of Freedmen affairs, returning by way of Jackson to this place.

The Freedmen camp at Washington, Miss. will be discontinued.
Major George. D. Reynolds, acting Assistant Commissioner, for Southern District of Mississippi, will make the best disposition possible of the people. Many can find homes among their friends, while the sick will be provided for in the Hospitals. Buildings may be rented for hospital purposes.

Chaplain Joseph Warren, State Superintendent of Education, will proceed without delay to Jackson Miss., and inspect the condition of schools there, and elsewhere in the Northern District as he may deem necessary.
He is hereby authorized to make such arrangements as shall seem proper for their welfare. On completion of this business he will return to this office
