New York City.

Gentlemen:

I trust you will not mind my calling your attention again to the fact that we have not yet received your check in payment of your 1933 annual subscription to Federation. My excuse is a good one: Federation's financial position has not improved one bit since I wrote you early last June; in fact it has grown decidedly worse. We have already borrowed $485,000 and there is a decided limit to our borrowing capacity. Besides, money borrowed has to be paid back, and all we have on hand today is about $25,000.

Last year, as I wrote you, you kindly sent your check in March, and naturally in making our 1933 allotments to our affiliated societies we counted upon getting your 1933 annual subscription in the forepart of this year. Please, therefore, send us your check now; it will be very welcome and will help relieve a very embarrassing situation.

Thanking you in advance, I am

Yours very truly,

Walter Beer
Treasurer
