Dear Mr. and Mrs. Ford:

May I take the liberty of inviting you to a private view of a group of very important pictures by Degas which have recently arrived from Europe and which are completely unknown in America.

The group consists of six pictures, amongst which three come from the celebrated Lerolle Collection and were brought by the painter Lerolle directly from Degas before 1885. There is a race track scene, three dancers and a very rare picture of the series of "Les Modiste". All these pictures are of the highest quality.

Hoping to have the pleasure of your visit in the near future,

Kindly believe me
Yours very sincerely,

(René Seligmann)
