November 25th, 1938

The idea I had was to make an exhibition of paintings and decorations by your friend, Mr. Christian Berard and, furthermore, I thought one could join his works with decors by Jean Michel Frank.

Regarding the time of this exhibition, I could arrange from the second half of March til the 15th of April which, no doubt, would be the most desirable moment of the spring season. Regarding the space in our house, the downstairs gallery could be available or -- what would perhaps be even better -- the entire first floor. You remember that we had the large back room just remodelled into a modern picture gallery; the front room could easily be arranged for that purpose as we had it done last year.

Would such a proposition interest you and Mr. Berard, and will you be good enough to write me as soon as possible your point of view as in case you have any objection, I would make other arrangements.

How is your work coming along with Mr. N. R.? Will you please be good enough to keep me posted when the famous Matisse painting is going to arrive here and any suggestion you will have to make in this regard. I am also awaiting the photographs we spoke about before your departure.

But let me close for today. I hope my lines find you well. Let me hear from you soon. Remember me to all our mutual friends you should come across.

Many good wishes, and kindest personal regards.

Always sincerely,

Jean Michel Frank, Esq.
