Dear Mr. Freyberger:

Do have my thanks for your very pleasant letter of January 22nd. You give me another proof of your devotion to art by having taken advantage of your flu attack to consult auction catalogues. This has led you to the raising of interesting question, though I must say of a very specialized nature.

Strangely enough I find in our library only one volume of the Lelong sale of 1903, the first, in which of course # 537 is not included.

It would seem to me quite an imposition to carry on of these heavy volumes to my gallery to compare it with the photograph of the PRUDHON drawing of the "psyché".
(I never understood the expression "cheval glass", which is used by English and American auction houses, but unknown in France.)

Of course I shall be glad to go over this matter with you, should you wish to carry out your [[intessions?]].

Now as to you trip to Paris, we shall be happy, Mrs. Seligman and I, to have you at home some late afternoon and discuss the problems that your visit to the capital may involve.

Meanwhile, with best regards, and with all good wishes.

Yours,

Germain Seligman
