RONALD FREYBERGER 4445 POST ROAD NEW YORK, N.Y. 10471 February 9, 1972 Mr. Germain Seligman 5 East 57 Street New York, N.Y. 10022 Dear Mr. Seligman, It is always rewarding to spend time in your company and this morning was no exception. I learned a lot, as I always do from you, and one of the things I found out, to my dismay, incidentally, is that I failed to make an important new discovery regarding Pierre Paul Prud'hon's activity as a designer of decorative arts. It was very interesting too to hear you speak of your former associates, notably Cesar M. De Hauke. Please find enclosed an extract I copies from The Shorter Dictionary of English Furniture which I think helps one understand the use of the expression "coeval glass" in English-speaking countries. I hope that you and Mrs. Seligman thoroughly enjoy your winter holiday, and I look forward to seeing you after your return to New York. With best regards to you and to Mrs. Seligman, I remain Yours sincerely, Ronald Freyberger Ronald Freyberger
