Dear Mr. Seligman,

I don't know how to begin to thank you for the wonderful present you gave me yesterday. Your generosity is most heartwarming and your selection of this particular book hit the spot — just like the soft drink of the forties. Unlike that, however, which afforded only transitory pleasure, my new book will have a permanent reminder to me of the interest you have always shown in my work.

I can't help thinking that Mrs. Seligman had something to do with this present and I hope you will convey to her too my thanks for the wonderful gift.

With all good wishes for a speed recovery from whatever ails you, and with best regards to you and to Mrs. Seligman, I remain

Yours sincerely,

Ronald Freyberger
