Dear Ronald,

How very good of you it was to send your pleasant letter of February 22nd, following up our telephone conversation of the same date. I am happy to know that things are shaping up and that you have decided now on the topic of your doctoral dissertation.

The photostat of the work you accomplished on the sales catalogue of the gold boxes, I am glad to have of course, and am much impressed with the role you played in compiling it.

By the same token, I do want to apologize for not having acknowledged with thanks the article from the [[underlined]] American Ceramic Circle Bulletin [[/underlined]] containing your study, which I enjoyed much reading.

I should have done so, of course, had its arrival not coincided with our leaving town.

With renewed appreciation of your remembering my birthday, and with all good wishes and best regards,

Yours,

Germain Seligman
