Moses Boggs Col.
Appears & shows his contract with J B Furgerson for the year 1866 Says he made one Bale of Cotton Weight 430# & got nothing for it. Have written Mr. Furgerson to call at this Office & explain
Furgerson appeared & states the dont owe Mose [[Moses]] anything. Shows ofc & Books &c. I think about twenty five dollars is due Mose on the settlement. Mr Furgerson was short of money & gave me his check on the National Bank of Vburg for the amount of thirty days after date, which was all satisfactory to Mose.

Austin Jones Col.
Complains that Becca Barnum Col. has shut up his Cow. Sent for Becca & heard her statement. advised both parties to drop it that the damage amounted to nothing -
