She had drawn one pair of sheets & five dollars in money Aug. 16. Mr Watts reports & states on Oath that Virginia Stewart Came to work for him on the 1st day of Febry. She had been two months before the Contract Commenced. drawing Rations for which he had charged her nothing. during that time she was Confined. went to work as above stated & for the first three months he gave her six dollars per month & for the next three months he was to give her eight dollars per month.  Mr Watts shows Bills for Goods & Cash which leaves Virginia in his debt $1.25 which a/c he has made Oath to & can bring proof

Case referred to this Office by the Asst. Com.
Col. Women wants to run a Dray without paying the usual Licence says she is a poor women & cant pay the License.  I have told her she must comply with the Law. just the same as a white person. have given her a note c/o- the mayor.  have seen nothing more of the women.
