Claims of Sandy and other formily [formerly] employed by A.M. Jack, (deceased, their old master.) These claims are for labor done since the surrender and amtg. in the aggregate to $280.00

James Davis (Freed) complains that D.D. Dozen Esq. drove him off without settlement complaining that he did not do work enough to pay his board, James represents that he had soar [sore] hands for a day or two, & could not do full work - Case not settled.

Frank Colow (Freed) complains that he had worked for Esq. Honneycut six months at $10, pr month & that he had paid only $30 the case has been referred.

Case No 13.
Mrs. [[blank]](Freed) Complains that her boy [[blank]] was frightened, by threats made at the house of one Wm H. Stevenson, who was his old master, that the boy ran away taking with him a Coat belonging to another freedman, valued at $1,50 - that the said Stevenson got out a warrant, placed it in the hands of John W. Gully high sheriff of the County of Kemper. The boy was arrested put in Jail, chained by both ankles to the floor, and kept there, notwithstanding the severity of the weather, (and the remonstrance of a Physician who saw him) until
