Case No. 14.
Leo'n Johnson (white) complains Reports that he employed one Henry Stull a freedman, who worked for him Eleven days, that the said Henry was good for nothing to work. not worth his food-that he discharged him for the above reasons & thinks he ought not to pay for the 11 days - Case referred.

Case No 15.
James Scott (Freed) complains of Wm Allise a tanner who employed him at $40, pr month and after working 13 days the said Allise proposed to hire him by the price, which he refused, whereupon Allice discharged him.
Allice is required to pay for half months work - $20,00

Case No 16.
Mr Ethridge (white) complains that Alex. Bell refuses to pay for damage done by setting his dog upon Etheridges Hog - the case had been brought in suit, & as it was a criminal case under the state of Mississippi, and as the Freedman did not under-stand the law, it was advised by the Justice of the Peace, to be referred & $10, & cost awarded to Etheridge which Bell agreed to pay, & afterwards refused.
Bell is required to pay the damage as assessed and a portion of his crop now in the hands of one Clark held as security.
These parties reside east of Scarha [Scarpa?]
