Grant | October 24th 1867 Solomon (freedman) complains that Mr. W. S. Clark refused to pay him for cutting square timber at $1.25 per clay as agreed wanting to pay him by the foot. satisfactorily settled. 

Miles | October 29th 1867 Milly (freedwoman) complains that B B Whitington of Forrest Station refuses to pay her for two months work (and 5 days) at 5$ per month. Investigated and satisfaction promised. 

Burrill | October 30th 1867 Henry (freedman) complains that Rich[[?]] Crout living eight miles from Forrest Station has taken all his share of the crop (one half) claiming he was in debt. Undergoing investigation.
