     There are three_ One at this place under
     the direction of J.A. Bishop which is in a thriving condition_ One at Marion Miss. under the direction of J.L Clay -( freedman)- This school I have every reason to believe is doing well although I have never visited it_ One at Shubuta. Clark County. Miss under the direction of B.C.M Cleveland which I visited January 28th and found improving although the people of Shubuta have placed almost every obstacle in the way of its success
