(1) Qualifying Speed 200 miles per hour.
(2) Contestants must compete and qualify in this Speed Dash in order to enter the Thompson Trophy Race.
(3) Each ship must be flown twice in each direction over a three Kilometer Course.
(4) First prize - 45% of cash purse and gold plaque; second prize - 25% of cash purse and silver plaque; third prize - 15% of cash purse and bronze plaque; fourth prize - 10% of cash purse; fifth prize-5% of cash purse.
