Frank Phillips Trophy for Permanent Possession
Purse $8,000.000 - Lap Prizes $2,000.00

(1) Open to any type of airplane powered with any type of engine or engines.
(2) Qualifying speed - 225 miles per hour. Contestants must compete and quality in straightaway speed dashes in order to be eligible for this event. 
(3) Distance-100 miles, 10 laps over a ten-mile course.
(4) $100.00 of the lap purse will be paid to the winner of each lap (fastest official time).
(5) Prize money-first prize-45%; second prize-25%; third prize-15%; fourth prize-10%; fifth prize-5%.

Free-For-All - Men and Women Pilots
Total Daily Purse - $1,800.00 - Four Trophies for Permanent Possession - 15 Points Per Event Towards Sweeptake Award
(1) Open to any type of airplane, powered with an engine having not more than 55 cubic inch piston displacement.
(2) Distance-50 miles, 10 laps over a five-mile course.
(3) Qualifying speed-175 miles per hour. Contestants must compete and qualify in straightaway speed dashes in order to be eligible for these events.
(4) 15 points will be awarded to these events towards the Sweeptake prize, 5 to first place, 4 to second, 3 to this, 2 to fourth, and 1 to fifth.
(5) Prize money-first prize-45%; second prize-25%; third prize-15%; fourth prize-10%; fifth prize-5%.

(1) Open to any type of airplane equipped with any type of engine or engines.
(2)Entrants must have had 150 hours in order to be eligible to compete.
(3) Qualifying speed-175 miles per hour. Contestants must compete and qualify in straightaway speed dashes in order to be eligible for this event.
(4) Distance-50 miles, 5 laps over a ten-mile course.
(5) Prize money-first prize-45%; second prize-25%; third prize-15%; fourth prize-10%; fifth prize 5%.

(Present record 294.38 miles per hour established by "Jimmy" Doolittle flying a Gee-Bee Special with a Pratt & Whitney Wasp Senior Engine in the Shell Speed Dash at the 1932 National Air Races.

(3) Qualifying speed-150 miles per hour. Contestants must compete and qualify in straightaway speed dashes in order to be eligible for this event.
(4) 15 points will be awarded on this event towards the Sweeptake prize, 5 to first place, 4 to second, 3 to third, 2 to fourth, and 1 to fifth.
