As an employee you are naturally interested in knowing something about our company. The following paragraphs are written to give you a "bird's-eye" view of a few points of interest in connection with our background, organization and products. 

[[right margin]]BACKGROUND[[/right margin]]
Bendix Radio is a Division of Bendix Aviation Corporation. In addition to the Bendix Radio Division, sixteen other Divisions, two subsidiaries and two affiliated companies are also part of this great Corporation. The names and locations of all of the component Divisions and Companies are indicated on the inside front cover of this handbook. 
It is impossible to give even a sketchy idea of the many thousands of different products which are made by the Bendix Aviation Corporation, but it can be seen from the list of Bendix Products beginning on page 37 that almost every precision-built component part of an airplane, other than the actual wings or body of the plane, and the motor, are manufactured by some part of the Corporation.

In order to control effectively the many and complex phases of radio design and manufacture, Bendix Radio has established an extensive organization of individual units, each specializing in a different phase of the complete job. Each of these
