TO THE MEN WHO BREAK THROUGH THE CEILINGS ON AIRCRAFT PERFORMANCE...

You can't put a ceiling on aircraft performance. Aviation progress has been a continuous race to shatter existing marks for speed, payload and altitude.

Speeds have gone up and up...200...300...400...500...600...??? m.p.h. Payloads have risen with them. Pounds have given way to tons. New altitudes have been scaled. Each ceiling replaced with a higher one.

And through it all, men have set the pace for machines. Designers, builders, fliers . . . making the impossible come true.

It is these men of Aviation we salute. To them belongs the glory of the race.
