The ten Air Force pilots in the Bendix Trophy event of the National Air Show and the five commands which they represent are as follows:

AIR TRAINING COMMAND

1. Col. Clay Tice Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz. Commander of 3595th Flying Training Group, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.

2. Maj. William T. Whisner Jr. of Shreveport, La. Commander 3596th Flying Training Squadron, Nellis A.F.B. (A jet ace - 5 1/2 MIGs)

AIR DEFENSE COMMAND

1. Lt.-Col. Winton W. ("Bones") Marshall of Tucson, Ariz. Commanding officer 15th Fighter Interceptor Squadron. 

2. Maj. Stevens H. Turner of Clinton, Mass. Commander 97th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton.

AIR PROVING GROUND COMMAND

1. Lt.-Col. Michael C. Horgan of Fairmont, Minn. Assigned to Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.

2. Maj. Edward Johnston of Reynolds, Ill. Assigned to Eglin A.F.B.

TACTICAL AIR COMMAND

1. Maj. James P. Hagerstrom of Waterloo, Iowa. Assigned to Ninth Air Force Headquarters, Pope A.F.B., N. Carolina (A jet ace - 8 1/2 MIGs).

2. Maj. William J. Evans of Norwich, Conn. Assigned to George A.F.B., California.

AIR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT COMMAND

1. Capt. John M. Fitzpatrick of New York City. He is an experimental test pilot at Wright Air Development Center, Dayton.

2. Captain James S. Carson of El Centro, California. An experimental test pilot Edwards A.F. Base, California.
