Bdx Trophy Race May 31, 1957 Mr. William T. Louth Advertising & Sales Promotion Manager Medallic Art Company 325 East 45th Street New York, New York Dear Mr. Louth: This acknowledges your letter of May 28th in connection with the trophies for the Bendix Air Race. While final approval from the Air Force has not been definitely received, I believe that it is relatively certain that the race will be flown. Will you, therefore, make up three trophies exactly as you have done in the past: one to be finished in gold, another in silver and the third in bronze. The plan is to fly the race on July 28th, consequently the trophies should be ready for delivery at least two weeks prior to this time. Please consider this letter your authority to proceed and I will give you shipping instructions at a later date. Sincerely, W.A. Mara, Director Advertising and Public Relations ez
