Stoughton March 5th
Dear Doris
The wind has been blowing a March gale since noon, first rain then it turned into snow a terrible storm from the west, paths all full and drifting, and blowing, something dreadful. one of the worst storms to be out in, that we have had yet, what shall we have next? Pa's back is lame from traveling through the stuff. I don't know how he will get home to night, he will have to make his own path. I am afraid they didnot turn out for town meeting very well, too bad it was such a day. I am bringing up my fines for the night, and have just heated the stoned for warming up the bed, we could not get along without them. I was glad to hear you were riding to your work in the auto once more.
