This week has been rather quiet for me. I have staied in Store and have been nowhere but home. This morning I put the Pung and Sleigh away and cleaned up the Barn here, got the kindlings for the week all ready we have burned all of the old shingles, so I have to cut kindlings, this week, and we received that Ralph Malcom who was on way home from France had died so to day at 2 oclock there is to be a military funeral at the Methodist Church I shall go down to it so sorry for his folks as he had made very good over there had been sent to an Officers School in France and could have gone ahead here at home in the service I think, his death makes 17 so far among the Stoughton Boys 354 in all here taken into the Army & Navy.

I did think I would try and paint out some of Gypsies to day but the rain has put a stop to it so for today I see this week some one has moved in to the small tenement of the Beals house. Dont know who it is
