Dear Doris

Well Pa is bound to send off this letter tonight so nothing to do but I must write my part to go too there is nothing left for me to write about he has got all the news in his this time. Pa is now pounding over head our slats are bothering us about coming down when we turn over in the middle of the night, which is very annoying, so he has gone up with his kit to fix them. I am in the midst of braiding rags I have made one rug this week and have begun on the second one I am in hopes to use up all the old things, so they won't be breeding mothes this summer and at the same time get some nice braided rugs for Bobbie to tear to pieces. But I shall look out for them this time. I like to make them and Abbie is going at it right away now, she has caught the fever and is crazy to do them, but I am afraid that it is too hard for her. I take my rug over there every afternoon Louisa Johnson was over there yesterday and we had a fine time, she is just our kind and always ready for a good time.
