Dear Doris

Well I have got the last pieces on the line and my dinner on cooking (shell beans and beets), corned beef I cooked yesterday, I find that washing out things as they become dirty is not such hard work. I have been pretty busy on my jackets this week, I also made a few more tumblers of grape jell. Lena says there are lots of grapes up there where she is, and she is only waiting for them to offer her some. We are still enjoying nice weather, yesterday was cool, so my fire was not out of place. today is about right for comfort. my asters are about gone, although I picked a fairly good bunch for the house this morning. The salvias have done fine, Pa and I dug up our peonies and separated and sat them out in a new place it was pretty hard work and Pa was for giving half of them away
