left alone as Mrs Smith goes to Beverly for the holidays. It is nice Emily has some one to look after her she surely has had what most of people would think not a pleasant time of it, she must have felt very much alone would think after Georgie passed, still perhaps with reading those papers she might have had excitement enough. I have been told they still kept that up. It surely is kind for Jane Capen to take an interest in her, I would like to see Gladys it is many years now since I saw her, just after they came to Everett Well I hope her mother is happy, she surely was when she made known of her marriage prospects.

Well here is wishing you a nice winter with good health and many pleasant things
With love Mary.
