My two dear good friends.

The other day I had a few hours so I went to see the Publishing House and Mother Church. I was alone but found it most interesting. All the time I was there I just could not help thinking of you both. Again to know, that out of Mrs Holmes' good mother's home, came the start of such a foundation.

Our car is not in good order, it needs work in general done. Again, we do not need it in the city, so we will not use it for several months. I did make a hasty trip down to Stoughton, some time ago. Yet my heart was a bit sad and I did not want to visit you under these conditions Now I feel much better as things are about to work out in a most desirable way. I am not going to wait for the car, as I plan to take the train down to see you. I of course will write ahead of time, and spend just a few hours.

I send just a wee little thought to you both, which I hope you will like. I want you both to receive gifts all this new year, so thus this thought for a start.

She sent the Pocket book to me but there was no card
