Dear Friend Miss Schieber

many thanks for all these lovely presents you are sending me. your generous spirit knows no end. not many people care for the old but I seem to be one of the fortunate. guess I was born under a lucky star & am looked out for who knows.

I had a big party on my 90th birthday & they brought me besides presents three lovely cakes. wish you might have seen them. one was as large over as a peck measure. potted plants & three huge boquets [[bouquets]]. about a dozen set down to eat at my table. two dozen of fresh laid eggs came in the evening by a friend who lives in the other neighborhood & ever since, she sells me her eggs at 25 a dozen. she lives on a farm and keep a lot of hens it was very lovely in her.
