My Dear Aunt Lucy
Mrs. Blanche Barry:

Well, first of all I thank you folks for your pretty Christmas Cards they were all right. 
I got quite a few of them.
Now for the most part of the picture, I am coming along alright. I give my wife the most credit for that, because she is a wonderful nurse. You know folks, my, dears, that I have already gone over Christmas on a shole, seems that way, + soon he over New Years, the same way. I wish that you folks could be with me on one of those slides, because it is great. But the funny part if it is, I still have that damned heavy cast on my foot, yet. Blanche-
