Transcription Notes:
Pipes go UNDER the HEADINGS at top, not ABOVE the HEADINGS - per instructions. Initials with periods go together without another space. If no period, then separate with a space. H.OPPELT - not Oppett- U.S. Census. for Mississippi in several years, 1870, 1880, for instance. No OPPETT families in Mississippi in 1860, 1870, 1880, for instance. Transcriber forgot number in upper right corner. *Louisa POMET - found in Natchez, Mississippi, in 1870. Other transcriber typed PONET, so I checked it on the Censuses. It looked like an "m", not an "n".
