and I got wet way up to my knees. I thought that was bad enough - though I was prepared to accept the wetting. However, that was not all that happened to me. When I went to climb up a steep, gravelly bank to the railroad track instead of returning through the deep grass, the gravel rolled and I went down on my left shin and added black mud in large expanse to my already saturated attire. I tore up some grass and wiped off what I could but I couldn't wipe of all that bedecked the front of my apricot-colored stocking, and my rubbers were covered with masses of grit and stickum. I took them all and hid them in the deep grass and came home-fortunately not encountering a soul on the way. Then I stripped, took a bath, arranged of beautiful bouquets- washed my bedraggled dress, slip, and stockings, and ate my breakfast of grape nuts flakes. I had my orange juice before starting out. Have you tried the grape nuts Flakes? They are new and very good, I think.

Be good to yourself. Love to Maud and Love to you, Luna

Bunny has scarlet fever, a light case- but one that might have serious after effects, just the same. They have had a specialist look at her ears, and I tried to tell them about what Davis had to do and abstain from dairy, but I may not have got it all right. They are still under quarantine.
