and placed about the rooms. In church they decorated the pulpit and other places as well. I wish you could have seen them. At the grave Mr. Andrew took one large bouquet of red roses and placed them on Mrs. Hammer's grave. He said that she liked red roses and that Tinny (Mrs. Andrew) would want to share them with her mother. A beautiful wreath of fine lavender flowers he set up against the monument and yet there were enough left to cover her grave and out two feet or more on both sides as well. Can you imagine what my poor little bouquet of wild flowers and a dozen roses with ferns looked like compared with all this abundance? However, mine were not really needed among all these others. I staid to supper, and Berenice was to stay over another day anyway. She wanted to go back last night, but Mr. Andrew muted her to stay another day anyway.
