Mrs. Andrew
She had been very sick for some time. Then Thursday pneumonia developed and with her large goitre and bad heart she had little or no chance to win out.
Berenice is looking terribly worn out and thin. I do wish that she could get a rest. She takes everything very hard.
Is Mr. Holmes getting out doors at all these fine days? I hope so. If he gets used to the yard again, perhaps he will feel happier than he does staying in the house all of the time.
Miss Garland is getting ready to go over to school and chaperone a party to-night. She says that she thinks she could go to bed and sleep all night. I feel like going myself, and think that I shall go early. I should like to go before dark even and lie and look at the twilight, but probably I shall not, as I have some things I ought to do.
Love to you both,
Lena.
