turning off our heat, but I think it still must be 75 or 80. I like to be warm, however. 

Last night I covered the pillows that I have at my back with a piece of outing flannel, and the one I sleep on too. I put my hot water bottle under the back pillow and had my electric heating pad ready. Then I had my heavy-knitted bed socks on, so, in spite of the fact that I had both windows wide open, I was very comfortable.

I think that it was very cunning the way little Doris described the bee's sting. I don't see how she could see how it operated though, when it was on her chin. Do you suppose she got stung somewhere else too? I read Mrs. Pettengill some of the passages about her, and when I read the one about "uncomful" she said, "She really has a big vocabulary, hasn't she?"

If it isn't raining too much, I think that I shall go up town to mail this and get some oranges.

I do hope that Mr. Holmes is taking his medicine regularly. The green label petrolager is pleasant to take. Do you suppose yours is the blue? That is exceedingly disagreeable to take, I think.
