The warm drink at bed time is a good idea, I think. So is the stone at his feet. I think that soaking his feet every night or two, and then getting into bed quickly before his feet got chilled would be good also. He ought to have some felt bedroom slippers. Isn't there a pair around anywhere? 

I hope that he is taking the rochelle salts in good doses. The mineral oil is also good. If his bowels work three or four times each day, it will be better than only once. If such action seems to make him at all weak, he should drink more milk or eat more oranges, potatoes, and whole wheat bread and cream cheese. The modern way of treating mental cases, (and curing many of the before-considered incurable cases) is by irrigating the colon — washing it out with gallns [[gallons]] and gallons of water and soda and other mixtures, and keeping on doing it.
