{SPEAKER name="John Lewis"}: Some people said we are disturbing people, we are calling trouble–– but let me tell you one thing.
[00:20:11]
I mean, look into Biblical history, throughout history I've seen what people have been able to rise up and disturb an old order to bring about a new order.
[00:20:27]
For outta chaos and outta conflict, there comes something very new,
[00:20:32]
and outta all of this political agitation, if you wanna call it, there's gonna become a new day in Mississippi,
[00:20:38]
when Black people shall stand in the governor mansion, when Black people shall be in the State House! [[cheering, clapping]]
[00:20:51]
How long–– how long [[?]], how long [[?]] be oppressed? How long will our people be denied the right to vote?
[00:21:03]
How long will they be denied the right to a decent education? How long? But we must make it up in our mind tonight that all of us must say: not long!
[00:21:14]
For we want to be free not tomorrow, but here and now. [[cheering, clapping]] [[pause]]
[00:21:39]
{Speaker 2} {MC/Unknown Speaker}: Let's give Mr. John Lewis a big hand. [[clapping]]
[00:21:50]
Since most of the people seems to be maybe somewhat tired, I don't know, got some complaints that people in the back cannot see very well, cannot–– is that true? Can you see okay in the back?
