Did you ever see such weather? I think I could stand it if I could get out doors or be in a regular house but this flat roofed store with only the front door and transom above for mutilation is something terrific. One woman came in for a few minutes one day and explained, "How do you stand it? I'll bet it is 15 degrees warmer than it is outside!" [[Nogales?]] where I go out after closing the store I often feel cold and have to have a wrap- the change is so great. Something is always wrong, I guess.

Barbara and John Hollis have bought a house - paid $14,000. I'll bet it could have been bought a few years ago for half that, but folks have to have some place in which to live. She and Nancy (near about 5 years old) are in Hassom[[Hanson]] her father, and John Hollis is to go off tomorrow for a vacation until Aug. 8.

Bunny - now a lieutenant - is doing occupational therapy work in the Walter Reed hospital in Washington. She lives in a beautiful place far out from the city which means she spends more time than she likes going back and forth, but I guess she like the work pretty well. She flew home to Buffalo for the Fourth. She likes to fly so gets around a good deal.
