Did you have a good visit with her, Sid, and little Doris? And did Mrs. Barry have a good vacation? I hope so. 

I have been in Newtonville all summer. I thought I might call on Mayme Wales if I knew where she lived. I looked in the telephone book, but couldn't find her name. Probably their telephone is listed under her daughter's name, and I don't remember what that is. 

One day I met Mary in town and we had a good time together, but I haven't even heard from her since directly, and very little even indirectly. 

Jimmie is feeling pretty well. She had a tooth out the other day. The dentist thought she had better have it out then filled, especially since she has a good deal of arthritis. Her fingers are badly swollen. Ruth is a senior in high school, and Haudschie goes to Boston every work day - leaving the house promptly at 6 o'clock in the morning - about the time Mr. Holmes used to go to the store. Haudschie is 75 years old. I think it is remarkable he can still do the hard work he does. 

I am holding my room here in
