Dear Mrs. Holmes, Sept. 23, 1937
I intended to see you again before I let, but things got rushed so I couldn't.

POST CARD
I have been busy this summer, long hours, from early morning until 11 at night. Just didn't get anything done in the line of writing for myself. I felt terribly guilty at first; then became rather reconciled. I hope you had a good summer. I suppose Doris has been and gone back long ago. I thought she might call when she took her trip up this way, but didn't see her. How is Mrs. Barry? Love to you both. Expect to see you soon now. Lena
