Dear Mrs. Holmes,
I have just written to Doris.
I guess she thinks I am a great one
not to answer her letters. To-day
I thought I would let the papers
go and begin on my letters instead of spending my whole day
reading. Last Sunday it was
uncomfortably cold and every
time I attempted to read, I fell
asleep.
     Mrs. Smith has a neighbor
away for a month. She told Mrs.
S. to help herself to flowers, so I
have been over several times to
gather some. I have numerous
bouquets about the place,
two in the dining room, one
in the hall, two in the
living room, and one upstairs
