Mr. Tomlinson D. Todd, President
Institute On Race Relations
1340 Girard Street, N.W.
Washington, D.C.

Dear Mr. Todd:
Complying with your request concerning the policy at the Little Palace Cafeteria, I wish to state that there is now no discrimination in our service to customers. This applies to all our patrons, regardless of race, color or creed.

From 1915 to 1943, the little Palace Cafeteria, however, did cater exclusively to white trade. But, from the spring of 1943 to the present time, we have catered to white and colored people. Since our policy has been changed, we have found that we have made more money and things have worked out very satistifactorily. It has also been found that colored and white people do mingle in a harmonious manner.

Truthfully, I can say that I am glad our policy was changed.

Very truly yours,
