Wrote to Leedie giving him an account of Tom Downing's boken [[broken]] match. Por [[Poor]] Tom was heartsick over the disappoint.
I felt very sorry about it but I am selfish enough to throw up my hat as it is not every day a woman can get a chance to get ahead of these selfish men. Pity it was not someone else however.

Writing. A very long letter from Green today I do not understand it very well. I had my fortune told by an Irish woman today. She described Green Delany and Mathews very accurately.
