Thursday, February 13.
Sent a letter to Mr. Lennox today. Leed spent the afternoon with me but was so sick he was compelled to go home. Mr. John M. Brown spent the evening with me. I enjoyed his society much. I spoke of my mission here quite freely to him. He spoke of Mr. Cain. He told me of the intended visit of Mr. Lowe to [[Mr Cumming?]] concerning Mr. Cain's school.
Mr. Brown promised to hear me read tomorrow if he does not go away.
